Save your memories!

This is totally out of topic, but wanted to share it with everybody.

After my last sentence in previous post I looked at my archives and once again got worried that one day I might loose 3 years of my memories with Yamapi...
So I searched the net, and found solution!!!!

Way number 1: program called Blogger Backup. It allows to save ALL posts and comments on your hard drive. So even if this blog will be shut down or whatever, all posts and comments are still saved on my hard drive! And more, I can restore them (posts only) back on web in a minute! But it's not importing pictures, only save entries as .xml files. But since pictures I upload in Blogger are stored in Picasa gallery anyway, there should be no problem about that ^__^ And even if these photos are visible on blog, when you go to my account on Picasa everything is hidden (no copyrights hurt = no account deleting)

Way number 2: Another way is to copy everything to different blog on Blogger, LJ, MSN Space or WordPress. To do it you have to use Blog2Blog program. I can even save original posting time.
I did this one as well! I imported all entries to livejournal account that is closed and for my personal view only ^_____^ (to hide it from Johnny's eyes *laughs*) From there I can also do the same thing in the other way, means transport all posts from LJ to Blogger.
Bad points:
- you can't store comments.
- looks like some of the entries that I edited (while still on blogger) are reposted on LJ twice. How they looked first, and the same entry after editing.
Program published posts that I worked on, they were saved on my blogger. I didn't even knew about it x_x
- I had 3 errors while I was reposting all 300 posts (time out). But everytime it happened I pressed "repost" again (unmarked posts already done) and it was going fine (till next error XD)
- when you try to respost the same entry it won't update old one but create another copy (double)

Both programs are small (less than 2MB) and very simple in use. Of course they're not connected with blogs all the time, so you have to run this process once in a while (or if you're too scared, each time you make new post)

Everybody!! Let's save our memories!! =D

Cool. :D

I've always wanted to find that program that copies down one blog to the other! Thanks for this~
