They talked about Kei's birthday on Music Station, but day before there seemed to be big Birthday Party. It was done in a club. SAM from TK Rave Factory and Yamazaki Yuuta were among guests. Main topic was about release of NEWS new single Koi no ABO. Koyama and Shige got too excited and it's said they even kissed! (as a joke/for fun). Koyama opened up a bottle of champagne and was joking that "On tomorrow's Music Station I might have a hangover".
The hole situation could be dangerous now, after Kusanagi's (SMAP) case. But I guess they didn't overdone it this time.
Also it looks that Akanishi Jin also had a drinking party at the day of Kusanagi's arrest.
In my private opinion? NEWS boys have experienced loosing 2 members because of alcohol, I'm pretty sure every one of them is concious about this matter. So, we can trust them and wish more wild parties like the one Koyama had ;)

EDIT: I marked italic the part that I translated from japanese, because it looks like someone is thinking I'm attacking Koyama. If you read my last sentence you'll see I'm far from it. I did this because I found this story interesting and even IF it's fake at some point, I liked that idea of Koyama having great fun on his birthday. Deal with it! :P

I follow the Japanese fandom and choose not to speculate this story in the english fandom firstly because of "No Valid Sources" and secondly, the Japanese fandom are easily "shaken" & took it way too seriously (which I didnt want to see in English fandom)
Im not saying Koyashige are angels. But if there is no proof of even where this news actually comes from....its as good as spreading bad rumors about them already. Sometimes we need to filter what we read from the Japanese sites.
Btw Akanishi always have his drinking party weekly? monthly? so its a normal thing for his case.
Maybe you would like to remove this until more confirmed sources?
Bcoz what happened in the Japanese fandom was that, one person post about it, another repost to their blogs and others copied to other forums and now these two boys are being condemned very badly...when no one even knows where this story originally came from. And it got so bad that some fans even emailed the jimusho about it, although they don't know as to how far it is true.
Even if this story is at some point fake, they didn't do anything wrong and had just a regular men's party.
I don't see a reason to go so serious about it.
Whether or not this is real of fake, they didn't do anything wrong. I guess you don't follow any old groups, but JE guys get drunk alllll the time! Ohno from Arashi was hungover on G no Arashi once and everyone was "LOL." It's not a big deal in Japan to get drunk as long as you're of age and don't go running in the park naked. So I don't know what you're worried over...

I don't get what the big deal is. Why are the multiple anonymous posters getting so defensive? Koyama was celebrating his birthday- an adult man of sound mind- which he's entitled to do, so what? Johnnys boys have birthday parties all the time. I don't understand how people can take this to be defamatory. It's not like they stripped naked and ran around. Really people chill the f**k out!! I don't see nothing wrong with this, the MAN is 25 and knows what's he doing ok. why are people getting so defensive about this? is it because a) the kiss with Shige or b)hangover part. I don't see the big deal about it. Why can't people just have fun w/o someone else being so pissy about it :/

Well I will say I'm taking this with a pinch of salt since the source may not be 100% reliable. But I don't find anything strange about Kei having a party of his own since it was his birthday after all.
There are some who got a little over but I'll say this is just a source of news about how Kei celebrated his Bday.
